28th September 2017 Smartworking Summit precis

The third of our 2017 Smartworking Summits heard from five superb and highly experienced industry leaders;

  • Anna Markowska, Advisor to CEO, Atomic Weapons Establishment
  • Mary Finnigan, Director of Transactions at the achingly trendy WeWork
  • Colin Miles, Chief Technology Officer, Virgin Media
  • Catrina Smith, Partner, Norton Rose Fulbright
  • Elisa Nardi, CHRO, BUPA

Throughout the morning, these seasoned main board executives openly served up a tremendously varied unparalleled level of first-hand experience about addressing the changing nature of work.

The afternoon featured four intimate round table sessions exploring the employee lifecycle journey; workplace technologies:- an enabler for change; understanding workplace productivity; and the tech driving workplace sustainability.

And if icing on the cake was needed, the Summit also saw the launch of the UK Workplace Evolutionaries programme.  Workplace Evolutionaries is the coalescing of foremost thought leaders and disruptive thinkers in the widest workplace arena.

Our goal is to find emboldened individuals from these ‘connected’ disciplines and between them design new research and paradigms, and integrating the disparate factions to evolve a 21st Century work foundation.

This dynamic environment allowed attendees to engage with peers in an informal and collegial setting.  Everyone left the day with a plethora of take-aways and interventions to immediately apply to their respective workplaces.
